March was a very good month for closed sales in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro area of North Carolina. Closed sales jumped 24.8% to 136. This brought the total for the year to 299 which is up 8.3% compared to 2014. Months supply of inventory dropped to 7.2 months but that is still high compared to some of the other areas in the Triangle such as Cary and Apex. The average sales price increased 3.4% to $369,279. This pushed the year to date average sales price over $365,000. When looking at historical charts of home prices in Chapel Hill we are slowly getting back to that all time high that was set in the early part of 2011.
