Owners Wade and Michelle Yarbrough launched Caring Transitions when they were in a position to begin their second careers. Wade had worked in corporate America for 35 years, most recently as Vice President of Support for a large healthcare software company. Michelle has a background in commercial art and had spent the last 15 years running the couple’s horse boarding and aquaponic greenhouse businesses. She recently earned her certification in home staging from the Home Staging Institute of California.

When pondering a second career opportunity, says Wade, “It had to be something that we would find enjoyable and rewarding. Caring Transitions provided the perfect opportunity for us to work together, combine our talents and benefit the community by providing a much-needed service. We are thrilled to be in a position where we can make a difference in peoples’ lives during what can be a truly challenging time.”

Relocation of a Loved One

If your senior loved one can no longer live safely at his or her home due to illness or aging, Caring Transitions can provide a total solution for relocation by coordinating all the details, whether they are moving to a retirement community, nursing facility, a family member’s home, or hospice. Caring Transitions team members will help you locate, organize, and sort personal belongings; interview movers and facilitate the move, coordinate the change of address with Social Security, the post office, and utilities; professionally pack and unpack your items; and stage belongings in your senior’s new home to help ease transition anxiety. With Caring Transitions handling the entire process, you can have more time to spend with your loved one, and less time worrying about the details.

Estate Liquidation

Losing a loved one is an emotional and overwhelming experience, often leaving family members unsure how best to proceed with handling matters of the estate. Caring Transitions can help families ensure that personal belongings are sold or liquidated in a timely manner for the best possible price by acting as your on-site advocate and coordinating the liquidation of your loved one’s estate. The Caring Transitions team will appraise items to be sold; manage an estate sale or auction (including online auctions); clean out and prepare the house for sale; and arrange for painters or repairs.

All Caring Transitions employees are held to the highest standards, and maintain ongoing security requirements. Their employees are bonded, insured, and thoroughly screened, and each Caring Transitions office participates in the comprehensive Certified Relocation Transition Specialist (CRTS) Program. The CRTS credential is a professional mark of ethics and excellence in the field of move management.
