Silver Creek

Slver Creek is an executive neighborhood that is centrally located in Chapel Hill with excellent access to Durham (via Erwin Road) and I-40.  These homes were built in the 1990s and are transitional, contemporary and traditional.  The first section is quite hilly.  You can find houses with basements in this section.  The second section is flat with nice back yards.  This neighborhood is very close to East Chapel Hill High School and across the street from Silver Creek, another, slightly newer, executive home neighborhood.

East Chapel Hill High School is framed by Silver Creek on one side and Chandlers Green on the other side.

High Schoolers can easily walk to East Chapel Hill from all three neighborhoods.

Houses in these neighborhoods cost anywhere from $500,000 to over $1,000,000.  Chesley and Silver Creek are on the upper end of this range.

This area is very centrally located.  It is 10-15 minutes to downtown Chapel Hill and UNC, 10-15 minutes to Duke University and it is close to I-40 for very easy access throughout the Triangle.

It you are a walker, this is a fantastic area for walking.  Many Chapel Hill neighborhoods are interconnected, and this area connects to the Booker Creek trail.  It is easy to get in a flat walk or a challenging, hilly walk.

Chesley, Silver Creek and Chandlers Green are all within walking distance to Cedar Falls Park which is home to some of the areas soccer and baseball fields.  You can also easily walk to Eastgate for coffee at Starbucks, bagels at Bruggers or to shop at Trader Joes or the many other great shops in Eastgate, e.g., Talbots, Chicos, Lilly Pulitizer and Petsmart.
